We expect all guests to treat host properties responsibly and respectfully during their stay, but we also understand accidents do happen.
Hosts are given the option in their account settings to specify their security deposit up to 5,000 $/€/£. Nothing is charged to the credit card at the time of booking. If damage occurs and is mutually agreeable by both host and guest, the security deposit amount set by the host is charged to the card and paid over to the host.
Guests must inform the host immediately if something is broken or gets damaged during their stay. Damages claims must be submitted in via email to the host within 48 hours of the guest’s departure. Claims must specify the damages clearly and with supporting photos. Depending upon the extent of damage, the replacement value will be deducted from your security deposit.FOR PRIVATE HOSTS ONLY: If however, there is a disagreement about any damage/breakages, hosts can make a claim on the Kid & Coe Community Protection Plan.
